Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2015
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts a competitive examination for recruitment and selection to the post of Geologist, Geophysicist and Chemist Group ‘A’ in GSI and Junior Hydro-geologist (Scientist ‘B’) Group ‘A’ for General Ground Water Board.

Exam Pattern:
There are four papers in each category. General English is Common for all categories. The examination in all the subjects is of conventional type.

Interview for Personality Test of such candidates as may be called by the Commission; carry a maximum of 200 marks.
If you are competing for posts of Geologist and Jr. Hydro-geologist, then you are required to appear in all the subjects mentioned under category I and category IV.

Geology and its allied disciplines are concerned with the structure, dynamics and evolution of the earth and its natural mineral and energy resources. Hydro-geologist focus on the relation of water on or below the surface of the earth.
